Good to see that this Tablet has Android v2.3.
BTW, Aakash Tab is gaining bad reputation amongst enthusiasts. There has been much delay in deliveries. Experts say that they are working on bug fixes in the device it seems. However, I feel that this is a better device than Aakash/UbiSlate 7+.
    I have the following questions:
Does the above mentioned device have bluetooth?
Can the device be unlocked to be used with Vodafone and other SIMs (other than MTNL/BSNL)?
Will it be available in Mumbai?

    • Well IS701R does not support Bluetooth, but other 2 models have bluetooth support. I think this tablet computer is built for all SIM cards. Currently it is available in Delhi but the company officials have some plans to launch the product in some other regions of country.

But I suppose its exclusive carrier rights are with BSNL. And they haven’t included an unlocking option so that they could be used with other SIM cards.
They have included in their website that it is exclusively available with BSNL only.

  2. HOW CAN WE CONNECT DATA ONE BSNL BROADBAND TO PENTA IS 701r ? WHAT IS THE USE OF Wi-Fi WITHOUT BLUETOOTH ? A TABLET PERSONAL COMPUTER SHOULD BE A PERFECT ALTERNATE TO LAPTOP OR DESKTOP.PEOPLE ALREADY USING DATA ONE BROADBAND SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONNECT BROADBAND WITHOUT USB DONGLE.
